Kai’s travel joys, modesty whatnots and cup of tea summarized in photos and words.

While Everyone is Enjoying Summer...

I did tell you that I am in Manila atm, right? Well, most of the bloggers I know are enjoying the sun and the heat. Whilst they are making so much fun, I am also enjoying it. NOT!!!

Let me introduce you to my daily routine.

I usually get up 4 or 5 in the morning for Fajr prayer. After that, I hit the bed again because I need sleep. And as far as I am concerned, I terribly need it since I sleep at 11 in the evening. Then, I get up again at 7am.

By that time, I heat water and drink tea. Yes, tea has been a daily dosage of addiction already. I just love it more than any other. I don't drink coffee, btw. My usual breakfast is any go food with tea. It can be cookies, oats, bangbang sug, anything.

While nomnoming, I hit the books already. As you can see in the photos below, this is what I am currently doing and eating. Mochi, and panganan and bangbang hantak from Tawi-Tawi.

At 12, I pray Dhuhr. After, I go downstairs to buy food. I eat. Then back to study. At 3, I pray Asr, then back to study. At 6, I pray Maghrib. After praying, I recite the Qur'an for about 30 minutes. After doing so, I go downstairs again to buy food. I eat. Then, it will be just in time for 'Isha. I pray. Then, do anything till 9pm. Then, study.

By 11, I sleep.

My Planner.
Just me and my hijab. No makeup, etc.

Did I tell you that whenever I feel bored, which is most of the time, I play with anything in my closet? haha. My phone is literally full of selfies which are results of my boredom.

I also check on my social networks frequently in between studying. I have noone to talk to here, so I have to at least speak what I am thinking on FB, twitter, tumblr, etc just to keep me sane.

How can I not get bored when all I do is read, write, understand. I am not yet solving problems since I need to have a strong foundation of the theory behind. So, yeah. It's a little sacrifice I have to make.

I do have the best summer, right? NOT!!!

I have to do this for the next 4 or 5 months of my life. So, yeah. Here's to never ever giving up. (Raises mug filled with tea!!!)

Please pray for my success as I pray for everyone else's too.

PS: All photos are captured by my Samsung Galaxy Y with the help of Camera 360. ^___^

  1. You are amazing Kai! I wish I could be more like you...balancing studying, with salah.

And omA, you don't need make up ever! That is the most adorable, sweet and lovely faceeeee ma'sha'allah. Natural beauty >>>>>>>>>

See, no teasing - that must be Noor - no need for make-up to look "bright" just good soul, like our Kai.

    All the best lil sis!

    1. JazakAllaah khair, big bro.
im trying my best to not miss salah. ^___^

      thanks for the compliments.

  2. Hey Stranger!

I can feel your pain... Though I doubt I'm as dedicated as you with my studying. I need to be. You just inspired me for my next semester. I actually took a break from blogging because work and studying was getting hectic and I kept getting sick. Bleh. I need to make it work.

    Good luck with studying!!

Could you do a post on how you study and how you keep organized? I'm interested to know. :)

    1. Mish!!!! You're calling me stranger. T_______T

i have to be dedicated. the exam is so expensive. so, i have to really really dedicate.

i wish you all the best.

  3. It's great to get a glimpse of how one of my Muslim sisters spend her life. You look pretty even with that traditional dress.

    1. hi there. thanks.

      actually, it's not a traditional dress. and it's not a dress. it's a scarf called hijab.. it's a religion-related aspect.

  4. agree! you look much beautiful without make up. you look fresh and cute! just love it. anyway, good luck with your study / review and i hope everything that you sacrifices for now will be paid soon after the board exam. i'm waiting for you to be CPA and i believe you can do it. moreover, i was amazing with your habit of praying with allah. i no muslim but i respect and love and believe with your dedication and love with your allah. ^_^

    1. thank you so much sis.. ^___^

i am really trying my best to get a religious connection with God (Allaah) now. It's one of the things I want to accomplish as much as I also want to be a CPA. Personally, it has really helped me through a lot of things. I worry lesser now, knowing that I made the connection and continuously doing so. I am also in pursuit of personal self-actualization. I am happy that I am able to do it.

      again, thanks. ^^

  5. wow that's a lot of things! Also here in Malaysia. whenever I woke up like 5:30 every morning for my daughters school I always hear this singing or prayer for them like what you do. i think they do that 2 or 3 times here. It is a man singing it that you can hear everywhere. i get used to it already. Its nice to hear also something in the morning.

  6. I guess we're currently in the same situation! Haha! Almost everyone seems to be having a great summer there in the Philippines, while the school year has not ended here in Canada yet. My maximum hours of sleep is usually five, which is quite tiring every day when I'm at school. Then, when I get home, I have assignments to worry about, but sometimes I get so lazy that I just lay on my bed for a couple of hours using my laptop or phone and munching snacks, until I realize that I've wasted the time that I'm supposed to spend on my assignments. Just like right now, I'm supposed to be writing poems for my English project but I'm surfing the net instead. Well, I have to admit that the WWW saves me from stress. Haha! I feel your pain and my brain is exhausted already. I can't wait for summer break any longer. BTW, I didn't know that you're an accounting student. I'm also planning to attend a business school after high school, so good luck to me, and maybe you could be my mentor! Just kidding! Hehe! You're doing a great job though. Keep it up because your efforts will totally pay off in the end! I wish you all the best! :)

  7. Wow! Ganon din ako when I was in college. Never had a summer vacation pa nga... hahaha... Your study table is so organized... Thumbs up! xoxo

  8. Interesting read!
    Becky xo

  9. Kai. I decided to leave a comment here instead of your latest post since this one's a personal post and I can relate more than the recent beauty product. Haha.

I noticed, ilang beses ka magpray in one day! So religious of you. :) Samin pati pagsisimba kinakatamaran eh. Haha. Well as for me, I make sure to attend mass every Sunday and at least pray when I wake up and before I sleep.

Nakakaloka naman yung studying habit mo. Hindi ko keri yan. Haha. But well, sacrifice nga muna. Everything will be worth it naman in the end. I'll pray for your success, Kai. Just study well and pray hard. I know you can do it! :)
