Jame'asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Kiulap, Brunei
"This mosque is the largest mosque in Brunei. It was built to commemorate the 25th anniversary the sultan's reign. It is locally known as the Kiarong mosque. - Wikipedia"
Btw, before we went to the mosque, we ate first at an Indonesian sort of carinderia. Feel free to read the post here.

Minaret of the mosque from the house where I stayed. Really breathtaking!

The actual view. :P

Road to the mosque from the house.

Just around the around the block is the house where we stayed.

The steel fence.

Welcome.

Fountain at the gate.

Another gate.

This is wicked. The flowers around the mosque are mostly orchids. <3

The illuminated mosque.

The dome.

Tsaran!! :) Masha Allah. What a beauty.

Nice shots! It seems like Brunei has a very rich culture. :) I've never really been in a real mosque before. (Except those replicas that you'll see in a museum) I'm not really sure if I am is allowed to enter, since I belong to other type of religion. :P

Wow wow~! I love the mosque. I am always amused with the Muslims. Even though we Christians have different type of beliefs.. I still find theirs more "devoted" and I do not know why! Enjoy!
ReplyDeletewow! great photos. I haven't been outside the country yet. The mosque is huge!
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day you'll have another website only for travel ;)
