My Latest Project

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.

Assalamualaikum.

It is with proud and glee that I share this wonderful news with everyone. As you may have noticed, I was quite on hiatus these passed days. I have been updating my social networks, though, that is to promote my latest project.

I have been contemplating on starting a project that would make a difference, with The Philippines as the primary target. Truth is, I already miss my publication days during university. Finally, one afternoon, I have decided. I will make an online modesty magazine for the Muslimahs and those people who prefer the modest living in the Philippines.

I was full of emotions that afternoon. Really. It was a blessing that the domain name was available when I searched it on Namecheap. Afterwards, I hosted it on blogger.com. Then, I registered the domain name on social networks. Gladly, it is available for use as usernames. Alhamdulillah. I could not be any happier.

Of course, when you are starting on a new project, there would be times that you feel lost, moments that you want to give up because it might not give the results that you are aspiring of. At this point, Joyce came into the scene to save me. She presented herself to help me. Alhamdulillah for selfless people. Afterwards, Haj and Karren also volunteered. I felt really happy and energized. We were busy with the site. I was ecstatic.

Then, I got an invite from sis Najmah to join her newly-created group, Filipino Muslim Bloggers. After joining and getting acquainted with her and other members, she learned about this project and showed great interest. She went as far as donating the hosting package. So, we removed the site from blogger.com and found it a new home. Alhamdulillah.

Then, sis Sumayyah also told me that she was interested in helping out. On the other hand, I asked Ayeesha to help out, and she said that she was waiting for me to ask her. (She knew I would ask her. lol) May The Almighty Allah bless these individuals for being such angels to me and the website.

The rest is then the history of making the project become a reality.

From the picking of the theme to planning the weekly tasks and designing the website, it was all pure hard work. I could not have done it without this amazing people.

Alhamdulillah, I am proud to present to you the project that we have been making buzz about on social network. *drum rolls*

It is with great pride and honor (with instilled humility) to present, (ahem)
HIJABIMAG.COM
I am really happy to say that this is the first organized online magazine for Islamic and modest lifestyle in the country.

We are doing our best to come up with articles that would be helpful and that would create a difference in spreading awareness of the beauty of modest lifestyle and Islamic way of life in the Philippines.

I am also humbled to say the fact that each and every person behind this project volunteered and collectively contributed selflessly. I am only hopeful for the future. May this project be able to instill in it the reason why it was created in the first place and may it prosper to bring lightness to the hearts of to the readers.

For the people, for the inspiration, for this life.
Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah.

Toodles,

K
