CBAA Pre-Commencement Exercises 2013

Prior graduation, each college in Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology has its own precommencement and recognition programme. In my college's case, we had it on April 6, 2013.

It was my ultimate dream to wear my tribe's native attire, batawi, to the graduation. It actually started with me joking around my mom that I would wear it to my graduation in college back in highschool. Poof! Here it is! I wore it finally. Ah, that blissful momentum of my life.

The batawi was my mom's when she was still single in the 70s. Her waistline back then was 23'. Guess what? The batawi fitted like magic.

Doing my hijab.

My lovely photographer for the day is my best friend, Jurfaida.
Thank you best friend! I love you!

She came all the way from Tawi-Tawi just to attend my graduation. Ah! I am so blessed to have such lovely people in my life. It's just sad that our other bestfriend, Monina, could not come because she has work. Well, she came earlier back in December 2012. ^__^

The reason why I am so frustrated that I could not make it to the Laude.
The reason why I worked hard. The reason why I am here.
My mother. My love. My everything.

Yes, mom is old already coz she had me when she was 36 yrs old already. Not to mention that she has breast cancer which made her look a lot older too. Nevertheless, I love her more than anything in this world. I continuously work at my best because I want to make her proud. But when I lost the chance to become an honor student for a mere .005 discrepancy, it felt like the world is against me. But she stood up and let me stand up.

She is so proud of how I manage to juggle studying, her illness, our financial problems, and my blogging. She is proud of how better person I became (char!). She is proud of my becoming a better Muslimah. And alhamdulillaah for everything.

While waiting for the processional march. My Vidas, mi amor.

Tribute to parents.
No! We did not cry! hahaha. I told her not to cry because it will ruin my makeup. Lol! I am such a good child. This made me miss my father so much. I know he is in a better place now. Amiin.

Ma'am Ibrahim
We were not given a chance to be closer because she has been our teacher only once. It was during the last semester. However, she is the only person to have advised me about blogging and studying. How I should spend more time studying and all. She is the only person who saw me when I tend to be invisible. And for that, I am so thankful.

And no. I do not regret anything that I did especially blogging while at school. It brought me so much goodness. And for that, I am more grateful.
