3 Common Types of Stains

There are various reasons why you may need to do your laundry. You may have clothes that have been worn multiple times and need to be refreshed, or you may have ones that have stains on them. Check out this list of three common kinds of stains.

1. Coffee

If you are an avid coffee drinker, you have probably dealt with a fair amount of coffee stains. Such stains can be extremely difficult to get rid of, especially if you do not know how to tackle them. If you have a piece of clothing that has a fresh coffee stain on it, dab the area with a wet cloth. If you have a garment that has had a coffee stain on it for a long period of time, use a sponge and a mixture of water and white vinegar to get the stain out. Look into stain remover Lynnwood WA to learn more about dealing with coffee stains.

2. Wine

Wine, whether in or bottle or wine glass, can spill very easily. It can end up getting on your napkins, tablecloths, shirts, skirts, and pants. Red wine stains can be incredibly tedious to remove. Fortunately, you can address them by spreading the stained fabric over a bowl and pouring boiling water over it. The hot water causes the red wine to break away from the fabric, rendering the stains much easier to clean while in the washing machine.

3. Blood

Bloodstains are common for those who suffer from nose bleeds or who experience menstruation. You can remove a blood stain by soaking the stained material in hydrogen peroxide for about 15 minutes. If the stain is still visible after the soaking process, apply a prewash stain remover. Afterward, throw the material into the washing machine.

Stains can be very annoying. Thankfully, many of them can be removed.
