Nothing To Lose



To do everything our way, we need motivation. One of those motivation is our inspiration. In this world of guilty pleasures, we tend to like everything that comes our way. Then, poof! Without knowing, we end up in a place where our passion does not ignite.

Inspiration is everywhere. To be inspired means doing what you love. If you do not love what you are doing, then there is little room of motivation and inspiration for you.

Tonight, as I wrote about Steve Jobs for the college paper, I have to read several speeches and words of Jobs. I have to go through many archives in the world wide web to know him better. I had to understand his move. I had to know what made him decide to leave the position of being the CEO of Apple Inc. I just had to.

Despite the fact that I almost tripped on my chair while trying to reach my scratch, I had fun reading stories and facts about Steve Jobs. What made him stand on the sharp edges of mountains of problems. What pushed him into success. One of my favorite is his speech at Stanford University in 2005.



Remembering I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

Even death inspired him. Truly, there is no other person like him. He sees something positive in every trial he goes through. I may not be a Mac user, but I am inspired by Steve Jobs. He made me see that everything can be taken away from me any minute from now. Why not make every moment a chance to grab my dreams! Thus, I will.

  1. ahh. I watched steve Jobs movie. It was the silicon valley. I think i kinda know the reason but i just can't express it. ooh! i remember. I think steve left because it is when the Bill Gates successfully steal the whatever chuva that apple made xD not sure though. hihihi.

  2. Yes, I've seen that "graduation speech" of him and it was truly an inspirational one I must say. I'm just disappointed after hearing that he decided to leave the position of being the CEO of Apple.

    I don't know anything about him maybe i remember reading something about someone retiring from Apple baka sya yun lol.i should search him up too bka ma inspire din ako...

  5. Actually, I like Steve Jobs. I like the way how he turned Apple, Inc. from nothing to something. :) Few years back, Apple is just a mere corporation, but now, it is one of the most sought after brands, be it the elites or the middle class. Apple,Inc. na nga din ang ginagamit ng ibang companies for benchmarking ehh (as to standards). Cool talaga. :)

    I'm inspired and motivated by people, things, movies, books and even situations. I was most inspired by someone who told me that when I was 13yrs old that my writing was too mature and was terrible. You can make a negative into a positive. :)
    Steve Jobs is so incredible. I've read up a lot om him. i love how he'd randomly reply to e-mails sent to him. ha ha

  8. death is really a good inspiration to move forward. I've always been afraid of death. literally afraid of it. afraid that I'd die anytime, that my loved ones will. and i can't sleep or cry really really hard after the thought. But i try to fight it back. But the thing is, I wanna do and be everything I wanna be before I die, or until I will ignore the fear of it... I wanna enjoy my life.

    Steve Jobs have done a real good job his whole life. he deserves every bit of it. :)

  9. Death or near death really can really change a persons perspective, hope I won't go through that ordeal in order make the right or big choices in life.
